Insurance Premium
Premium: INR 40 per day per participant
Coverage Benefits
Hospitalisation Expenses for Injuries: INR 1,00,000
Medical Evacuation (Air or Road): INR 1,00,000
Personal Accident (Death & Permanent Disability): INR 1,00,000
Repatriation of Remains Extension: INR 15,000
Extension 1 – Outpatient Medical Expenses for Injuries: INR 7,500
Plan Conditions
1. Eligibility
Insurance coverage is applicable for individuals who pre-register for trekking and adventure packages below 6000 meters officially booked through Ridge Adventure Foundation’s authorized channels. Coverage is valid only for the duration of the itinerary.
2. Definition of Adventure Activity
Adventure activities include trekking, hiking, and outdoor adventure programs officially booked with Ridge Adventure Foundation and conducted under the supervision of designated staff, following all safety rules and regulations.
Coverage starts on Day 1 of the itinerary and ends on the last day of the itinerary.
This policy is not applicable for mountaineering expeditions.
3. Enrolment Process
Participant details will be recorded by Ridge Adventure Foundation and shared with the insurer.
For claim processing, the following documents will be required:
Booking confirmation
ID Proof
Indemnity bond
Proof of participation
Incident-related documents
4. Claim Process
In case of an incident, the participant must inform the insurance provider immediately. Ridge Adventure Foundation will verify the eligibility and assist in the claim process. Final claim approval will be decided by the insurance company.
5. Claim Intimation
Claims must be reported within 7 days of the incident.
All documents must be submitted within 30 days, failing which the claim may not be accepted.
6. Premium & Endorsement
Premium is charged per trip.
No refund on deletion after activity commencement.
Endorsements apply from the date of addition only.
Exclusions
The policy does not cover:
Suicide or self-inflicted injuries
Alcohol or drug influence
Criminal activities or legal violations
Pregnancy or childbirth-related incidents
Professional sports participation
Motor racing or speed contests
Aviation activities (except fare-paying passengers)
Underground mining or tunneling
Nuclear or radioactive risks
Pre-existing medical conditions
Flight delays, cancellations, or rescheduling
Participants below 1 year or above 70 years
Medical evacuation without prior approval
Limitation of Liability
Ridge Adventure Foundation acts only as a facilitator between participants and the insurance provider. The insurance company is solely responsible for claim approvals and payments. Ridge Adventure Foundation shall not be liable for any losses arising from delays in rescue, evacuation, or medical assistance.
Cancellation Policy
7 days or more before trip: 100% refund
3–6 days before trip: 20% cancellation fee
Within 48 hours: 30% cancellation fee
After trip start: No refund
Terms & Conditions
Misrepresentation or Fraud
Any incorrect information or fraudulent activity will result in claim rejection.
Correct Information Responsibility
Participants must provide accurate details. Ridge Adventure Foundation is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect information.
Force Majeure
Ridge Adventure Foundation is not liable for delays or failures caused by natural disasters, weather conditions, government restrictions, or other uncontrollable events.
Severability
If any clause is found invalid, remaining clauses will continue to be valid.
Jurisdiction
All disputes shall be governed by Indian law and subject to jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
